Alfursan Auto ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

1. Information We Collect

When you submit a financing application through our website, we collect the following categories of personal information:

• Identity: Full name, date of birth, marital status
• Contact: Phone number, email address
• Residence: Current and previous addresses, postal codes, duration of residence
• Employment: Employer name, job title, annual income, employment history
• Vehicle & Loan: VIN of the vehicle of interest, down payment, preferred loan term
• Government ID (optional): Photographs of the front and back of your driver's licence, uploaded voluntarily to speed up processing
• Supporting financial documents (Phase 2, if requested): void cheque, proof of insurance, and a recent pay stub
• Personal references (Phase 2, if requested): names, phone numbers, and relationships of up to two personal references
• Technical: A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address (raw IP is never stored)

2. Purpose of Collection

We collect this information solely to:

• Evaluate your eligibility for vehicle financing
• Submit your application to lending partners (with your explicit consent)
• Contact you regarding the status of your application
• Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only for the purposes described above. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Information is shared with lending institutions only after you have given explicit consent (Dealertrack consent checkbox in your application).

4. Storage & Security

All application data is stored in an encrypted database hosted on Supabase (servers located in Canada or the United States). Driver's licence images are stored in a private, encrypted storage bucket with no public access — they are accessible only to authorised dealership staff via time-limited signed URLs. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

5. Retention

We retain financing application records for seven (7) years from the date of submission, in compliance with PIPEDA and applicable financial record-keeping requirements. After this period, records are permanently deleted. Driver's licence images are deleted when the associated application is removed.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Withdraw consent for the use of your information for financing purposes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our website following a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
